Former Deputy Speaker Subba passes away

 गत हप्ता  मे २४ तारिक २०१० कादिन अपरान्ह,लण्डनको "हीलिङडन" अस्पतालमा हाम्रा सदस्य नर बहादुर लिम्बु,(भुपु गोर्खा आर्मी नम्बर- २११५०००१)बखिमको देहान्त भएकोले उनको पार्थिव शरीरलाई आगामि जुन ५ तारिक शनिबारकादिन निम्न लिखित स्थान तथा समयमा लिम्बू  धार्मिक परम्परानुसार अन्त्येष्टिको कार्यक्रम राखिएको हुनाले  सदस्यज्युहरु लगायत वेलायतवासी सम्पुर्ण नेपाली दाजु भाइ तथा दिदी बहिनीहरु यो भावपुर्ण अन्त्येष्टिमा उपस्थित भइदिनहुन किरात याक्थुङ युके हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछ  साथै मृतकका आत्माले शान्ति पाओस भन्ने ओत: तागेरा निङवा:फुमाङसंग प्रार्थना गर्दै यस अत्यन्तै दुखद घडीमा नीजको  शोकाकूल परिवारजन तथा आफन्तहरुमा धैर्य धारण गर्ने शक्ति मिलोस भन्ने हामी प्रार्थना पनि गर्दछौं ।

गत मे १ तारिक २०१० शनिबारकादिन ओकफार्म कम्युनिटी हलमा किरात याक्थूङ चुम्लुङ युकेको छैटौ अधिबेसन अत्यन्तै भब्यरुपमा सम्पन्न भयो । चुम्लुङ युकेको अध्यक्ष श्री बम बहादुर लिम्बुज्युको  अध्यक्षता र संस्थाका सल्लाहकार तथा किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङ नेपालका केन्द्रिय भुपु उपाध्यक्ष नर कुमारी लिम्बु ज्युको प्रमुख आतिथ्य रहेको उक्त कार्यक्रममा उपाध्यक्ष कमला लिम्बुज्युले उपस्थित सबैलाई स्वागत गर्नुभएको थियो भने सभा सञ्चालन महा सचिब श्री बिजय बिक्रम लिम्वुले गरेका थिए ।

दोश्रो सेसनमा कोषाध्यक्ष श्री तील बिक्रम सम्बाहाङफेज्युद्वारा प्रस्तुत आर्थिक, र महा- सचिवद्वारा प्रस्तुत सागठनिक प्रतिवेदनलाई हलले सर्वसम्मतरुपमा पारित गरेको थियो भने बिधान प्रति केही बिशेष छलफल गर्दै विधानका केही धाराहरु संशोधन गरिइएको थियो ।

ANNUAL GATHERING (SISEKPA TANGNAM) 2009

With the same spirit and culturally enthusiastic Limbus gathered at the Great Chart Playing field in Ashford to celebrate Annual Gathering which falls during Sisekpa Tangnam (Saune Sakranti). Taking pride of tradition and culture, Limbu observe this day as an annual event where Limbus gathered from all over UK. With glooming sun shine, the garden of England and gateway to Europe, Ashford is naturally situated in the heart of Kent where large numbers of Limbu are resided.  Today, Saturday 25 July 2009, the Great Chart playing field is decorated with Limbus’ customs, flag of Nepal, the Union Jack and KYCUK stood in front of the stage dignifying the inherited bond between two nations and the Limbuwan itself. The glaring reflection of Sammyang fung, Sirbandi and various gold ornament which closely intact with Limbunis for generations is highly identical in the sun of July month here in the UK. Today is an absolute opportunity to teach and know about Limbu culture for our up-spring.  The programme began with the preparation in the previous day and early morning as in usual manner to serve better for the members and others alike. Members and Guests started to arrive from 10 am and the programme kicked off around 12 noon. The chief guest was stand in Ambassador to UK while representatives from all Jaatiya organisations were invited as a guest. As in a usual manner, a short briefing on health and safety was given by Mr Dammar Limbu (Public Relation Coordinator) the overall organiser followed by the Sabha Ashan Grahan from General Secretary. This was then followed with the presentation of awards/appreciations of certificates to those who have achieved excellent results in GCSE, Higher Education and others.  The final two awards; the Yalambarhang Award was presented to Mr Rajendra Nembang (Junior) and the Chumlung UK award was awarded to Mr Dammar Limbu (PR). The Honourable former minister of Nepal and the advisor KYCUK Mr Bijayprakash Thebe and Dr Beena Thebe the advisor KYCUK both has kindly presented a cheque of £500.00 each to the KYCUK. This phase of the programme wrapped up with the speech from a guest, an advisor, Chief Guest and the President of KYCUK Capt (Ret’d) Bombahadur Limbu.

Miss Prena Limbu (Daughter of Capt (Ret’d) Bhakta limbu) – Completion of Higher education

Mstr Roshan Limbu – Excellent result in GCSE

Miss Nilita Limbu – Excellent result in GCSE

Mr Ganesh Wanem – Re-written of KYCUK constitution

Mr Dhan Limbu – Successful Businessman (Gurkha Cash and Carry, Ashford)

Mr Gokarna Chongbang – Successful Businessman (Everest Security Company)

Mr Khemraj Maden – Successful Businessman (Gaunle Pasal, Ashford)

Mrs Lila Seling Mabo – 3^rd place during on line poem competition 2009

The gathering changed its mood to entertainment while Rajendra Nembang (senior) and his assistance Mrs Durga Limbu desperately waiting for the microphone. Not forgetting the superb BBQ welcoming the members in one corner of the field provided by Mr Khem Maden, Gaunle Pasal, Ashford, while various types of drinks were served by Mr Dhan limbu, Gurkha Cash and Carry, Ashford. This phase was also included with selection of best Limbu customs for children category and for the selection, Mrs Narkumari Sendang and Mrs Krishnakumari Limbu both advisors KYCUK were volunteered. Miss Sangma Jabegu (daughter of Capt Gyan Limbu) awarded the winner for the girls’ category. The stage was superbly managed by the entertainment team and people were packed to dance with Chyabrung. Mrs Sashi Subba, innately hold the microphone throughout the day for announcement whilst the opportunities were given to all for their own choice of entertainment. Exchange of meeting and greeting were of fundamental part of the day for most whilst children seen to dancing on their own way and matured were keener on hakpare, khyali, Dhan nautch.  The day went just like a click of the finger and eventually came to know 8 pm - cut off time. The enthusiasm and energetic mode was continuing, which without doubt transcended our culture here in the UK. The atmosphere has exactly mirrored the life in Nepal where the Limbus’ spirit lays with decorative clothing and expensive ornaments. The day wrapped up with unforgettable time that everyone enjoyed, and next year won’t be that long to come.
